Affetto 2500px

Sunday March 23rd sees a special performance by early music ensemble Affetto in the Oratia Prayer House.

Affetto – whose name in Italian means mood, emotion, effect – performed their first public concert at the Prayer House in 2010. Since then they have continued to explore the lesser known chamber music of the Baroque and Renaissance and are renowned for their inspiring interpretations of the beautiful music of the period. The four members of Affetto are all early music specialists, leaders in their respective fields, Kiwis, overseas trained, all playing authentic instruments and all hopelessly passionate about early music.
