- $83,000 Leftover in Final Quarter of 2013/14 Budget. – Local Board redistributes it on our behalf through their own Local Board Community Response Fund. $60,ooo goes to weed control projects. $3000 to Friends of Arataki book, $500 to repair Titirangi R&R sign, and Living Wage Aotearoa Event $1,000 at Corbans Estate Henderson.
Oratia did not receive any of this uncommitted funding. Couuncils core responsibilities maitainng community assets and despite a public septic tank failure. No funding for maintaining the halls – and we need money to lay new vinyl and paint. Nor for a sign which Oratia R&R requested Last December.
Oratia and Waitarua’s population represents 12% of the local board so we should receive about 12% of all spending in our community. That would be 12% of $83,000 = $9,960 . You will be charged for this spending as an LDI .
