The Oratia R&R got busy before Christmas, smartening up the public space. We received permission as the leaseholders to  put in a new sign.  The new sign  reflects the heritage of the original  building with the  name signwritten on the building in an arch over the door.

And because we wanted to finish off  the entrance area ,  we’ve put in some new soil and lifted and divided some of the clumping natives and popped in some new plants to link in with the new planting done at Parrs Park.  (Although sadly the new plants have now been stolen multiple times so we have a few  gaps and  more humble plants.)

** Note: The exterior of the buildings and the gardens are not the responsibility of the Ratepayers.  Our lease is for minor maintenance of the buildings interiors. We continue to advocate for some investment in these from our Local Board Budgets.
