Accident at Notorious Parker Road Crash Spot

Oratia residents were  without power for the morning after a car smashed into a power pole on Parker Rd at about 3.30am on Thursday morning. One of the five passengers had serious injuries and was taken to hospital, while the other four were treated at the scene.

The notorious Parker Road S bend has been home to numerous serious crashes including a police car that lost control on the same bend also crashing into a power pole last year.  Power has now been restored.     We wish the injured person all the best and a speedy recovery.

The crash brought down a power pole on Parker Road.

Residents in the West Auckland suburb of Oratia are without power for the majority of the day after a car smashed into a power pole.

Parker Road was closed for four hours on Thursday morning after the car slammed into the pole about 3.30am, northern police communications shift Inspector Chris Tate said.

One of the five passengers had serious injuries and was taken to hospital while four others were treated at the scene, he said.   Continued Here
