ORATIA Community Disaster Response Workshop โ€“ Sunday 29th September

Sunday 29th September 2024ย  ย  2.00pm, Oratia Bowling Club, West Coast Road

We’re looking for community members to join us and create a resilience network for Oratia, so we can be better prepared for the next disaster or extreme weather event.
To kick things off the Oratia R & R are working with experts to run scenario based training for the group, growing our networks, sharing skills and resources and building reach into the community.

This free workshop is on Sunday 29th September from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at the Oratia Bowling Club.

In a resilience group there are roles for all personality types and a whole raft of skill sets are needed. The goal is to have a big team to enable people to be replaced and rested, as needed. Team membersโ€™ family/personal wellbeing needs always come first in a disaster.
