Community Venue for Hire
The Oratia Small Hall is a heritage building built by original settlers as a church. There is good indoor/outdoor flow between the Hall and the Playground.
The Hall is popular for children’s parties due to the fenced area and playground. It is also suitable for events such as weddings, birthday parties, community events, etc.
The maximum capacity is 60 people (and depends on layout).
Please note: Your hire time includes all setup and packdown/cleaning time. If you are planning on a short hire (4-5 hours), your hire usually needs to either end by 1.00pm or start 1.30 or after. This is because we have such a demand and we try to fit two functions in a day if possible.
